LESSON 01
How clients read your profile
What I actually look at when a freelancer’s profile opens in front of me.
- What clients check first
- Titles that say what you solve
- Giving your portfolio context
I went from a broke uni student to earning over $15,000 from my skills online. Join me live on Sunday 8 November and I’ll show you how clients on Upwork decide who to pay, from both sides of the screen. For freelancers with a skill who are ready to do the work.

Let me introduce myself
In uni, I couldn’t afford a wig, and some months I couldn’t pay for my school projects. My first job paid ₦25,000 a month. Then my first Upwork contract, editing short-form videos, paid me $1,690.
Today I run Watchtime Studios, a video editing agency for YouTube creators in the US, UK, Canada and Australia. I hire freelancers on Upwork for my agency, and I still pitch and get hired there myself.
That means I see what makes me open a proposal, and what makes me scroll past. This class is everything I wish freelancers knew before they sent me one.

LESSON 01
What I actually look at when a freelancer’s profile opens in front of me.
LESSON 02
Clients see a preview before they open anything. This is where you win or lose the click.
LESSON 03
Applying to everything is the fastest way to burn your Connects and your confidence.
LESSON 04
How to price without reviews, without looking cheap and without scaring clients off.
You’re here for a reason
You know you’re good at what you do. You just don’t know how to get someone to pay for it.
You’ve spent Connects on job after job, and nobody has replied. You don’t know what’s going wrong.
The profile is half done. You’re not sure what to write, which jobs to apply for or what to charge.
You’d like to use your skill on evenings and weekends, but you don’t have time to figure it all out alone.
New city, new country or fresh out of school, and you want to build income from your skills, from wherever you are.
And you’re not sure whether to give it a real try. This class will help you decide with real information.
This class is built to help with
By the end of the class
How to write your first two lines so a client wants to read the rest.
Where I work from
I run my agency and my own freelance work from Lagos, for creators in the US, UK, Canada and Australia. No office, just a laptop and a good internet connection.
So what’s the catch?
The live class is free, and everything in it is yours to use. At the end, I’ll tell you about my Upwork Masterclass: everything I do to land dollar-paying clients on Upwork, with my real proposals and a private community. Everyone at the live class gets it at a special price, and that price is going up soon. Buying it is completely optional. The free class stands on its own, and you can leave whenever you like.

No. If you don’t have one yet, the class shows you what to get right when you set it up.
Freelancers and 9-to-5 workers who already have a skill (editing, design, writing, development, marketing, VA work or any other high-income skill) and are ready to put in the work to get paid for it. Video editing got me paid, but this isn’t an editing class. If you’re starting from zero, my beginner video editing class is the better first step.
No. This is an independent educational class. I’m a freelancer and a client on the platform, not an Upwork employee or partner.
